There are no public sewage system available in our village. So domestic waste directly throws into ex-irrigation channels which are connected with the river. We would like to keep the Kamo River clean, and we try not to pollute the river water by
1) using soap as much as possible instead of synthetic detergents
2) not throwing kitchen refuse away in the ditches
3) wiping oil from dishes with paper before washing them
4) burning waste oil instead of throwing it in the ditches
5) having a private sewage system in each house
6) cleaning up the ditches and ex-irrigation channels in our village once a year in cooperation
Some townspeople have been keeping carps in the ditch. The water is so clean that the carps can live in it!
