Water in South Africa 9
![]()
This is how they dig for water underground. It is called a borehole.
Many farmers have to dig many times before they find water. This
farmer was lucky. A huge drill as tall as a double story house digs
into the ground and goes deeper and deeper. Then...WHOOSH!
suddenly the water shoots up from under the ground. Nikokero
thought that it was very interesting. (Photo by Cayleigh)![]()
Some children wanted to know more about Table Mountain in Cape
Town. This is one of the many waterfalls that flows in winter.
Nikokero would enjoy going on a walk up the mountain and drinking
from this fresh waterfall. Many people in Cape Town climb up the
mountain and come back down in the cable car. (Photo by Justine)Created by Judi Williamson (Francisco)
