We live in Yanahara Town with a population of about 7,000. The town is surrounded with hills. 768,000 tons of water was used in the town in the year of 2001. 4th grade students checked on the amount of water used at their home as well.
The result is
30 ~ 60 tons / a month, which means
1 ~ 2 tons / a day
The rate is
180 ~ 190 yen / a ton (about 1.4 US$)
