Henrikin koulu (St. Henry Comprehensive), Nousiainen , Finland

This is our ¡Æinternational group¡Ç, which consists of 20 Finnish students who are 13 or 14 years old. We meet once a week – every Wednesday morning from 9 to 10.30. Our aim is to be in touch with young people from different countries.

Our school is situated in the municipality of Nousianen in south-western Finland . It is only 20 kilometres from Finland's fifth biggest town, Turku , which was the capital of Finland until the year 1812. Nowadays the capital is Helsinki .

That is where we are: 20 km north-east of Turku t

There are about 350 students in our school. We have grades 7, 8 and 9, so our students are 13-16 years old. Beside our school there is an upper secondary school, whose students are 16-19 years old. Not all of our students live in Nousiainen – some of them come from the surrounding municipalities and their school trip can be up to twenty kilometres.

During the school year we, of course, study hard, but we also have fun. Every year we have, for example, an Independence Day party, a Christmas party and a Spring party. In addition, all the grades make a trip to some destination.

We send you the warmest greetings from Finland !
