Dreamcatcher
![]()
In a dreamcatcher there is string or rawhide inside a hoop and the string looks like a spider web with beads on it. It has leather rope tied to the hoop with feathers and beads hanging down. Legend says the first dreamcacther came from Iktomi, the trickster. He gave it to the elder to help the Lakota with there brilliant ideas. Today the Lakota hang dreamcatchers above their beds to catch the dreams. The good dreams are captured in the dreamcatcher and the bad dreams escape through the hole in the center.
