Fri-Fri meets LABO students
![]()
Fri-Fri arrived in Japan from Ikariya Island, Greece, on July 10th.
LABO students met Fri-Fri for the first time on July 14th! We knew it was an ant at a glance, but wondered if it was a girl or a boy ... When Ms TORIGOE read a diary, we learned that Fri-Fri is female and that she has travelled to Denmark, Sweden, Greece, and finally come to Japan. We were excited to know that and welcomed her from the bottom of our heart :-)
There are 14 girls in LABO Torigoe Party - from kindergarten to high school students. We get together once a week after school to learn languages and cultures around the world. We sing songs, dance to the music, and act out stories. We presented "Peter Pan" in English and Japanese on June 20th. It was fun!
Most Japanese schools broke up for the summer on the 16th of July. We meet once a week during July, and have summer holidays until the end of August.
We are happy to host Fri-Fri and to show and tell her some of Japanese culture this summer!!![]()
Summer is the time of international exchange for LABO students.
