Hello Romania from South Africa
Dear RomaniaIt is so exciting to see a school so far away in the world from us, yet the photo looks like it could have been taken right here in Cape Town, South Africa. Your children really seem to enjoy writing stories and then drawing pictures to go with them. That is no different to us. Although we speak English at home, when we come to school we also learn two other languages that are used in South Africa (we actually have 11 languages in South Africa). And we enjoy writing stories and drawing pictures for those other languages. We learn a language called Afrikaans (very similar to Dutch)and another tribal language called Xhosa (which has many clicks in it)!Next week we will be putting up our HC Andersen Stories which we wrote in our own words, and at the end of each story their are some simple questions and also a picture. Maybe you would like to read them later!Happy Reading! The Grade 3 girls at Micklefield School, Cape Town, South Africa (aged 9)
