Comments from Micklefield
Konnichiwa
We have just had another look at the website with the Grade 3 girls from Micklefield. They are getting very excited about the tree project. We had a look at the latest work on the website and discussed how the weather could make the trees all look different in different countries.
They worked in groups of 2 or 3 and have made these observations about the website:
* Cathryn and Michelle: Trees in Konpira-sama temple:
We like your trees. They look nice and tall. We chose a specific one that we liked. It is the 6th one down. We like it because it has lots of greenery and is tall and its leaves are interesting. We think that your trees are so green because you have lots of rain.
* Jamie-Lee and Leila: Trees in Konpira-sama temple:
Greetings tree friends. We are not quite sure what your trees are called but we can name some of ours for you. Yellowood and Stinkwood. We will tell you more about these trees later.
* Ashlyn and Shannon: The Cottonwood Leaf and Tipi:
One of the leaves that you have looks like an Indian tent and we will try and make one out of our trees. We have lots of other typical trees.
* Onele and Nonkululeko: Noni Tree, Hawaii:
Just to tell you that your trees are nice and green and beautiful. We would love to show you some of our trees and the fruit that grows on it.
* Megan and Angali: Trees in Konpira-sama:
Hello! We enjoyed reading about your trees and they are really interesting. We noticed that they were really different to ours and we also noticed that you have more water than we do. Speak to you later.
* Lauren: I will be telling you about SHISHIARD which is our little tree animal for this Tree Project. He lives in our classroom and is normally on the windowsill but sometimes some girls take care of him and he stays on
our teacher's desk. He learns our spelling words, phonics, time-tables, maths and reading.
