Yes there were still one-room schoolhouses in use but I didn”Ēt go to one.
How many teachers did you have?
I had only one teacher per grade in elementary but when I got to high school I had one teacher per subject.
Were there just a few teachers for all the grades?
There was one teacher per grade.
How much homework did you have?
A lot. About one assignment per subject.
Was there recess?
Yes, there was recess.
How long was the school year?
About 10 months.
How long was Christmas break?
About eight schooldays.
