If my grandma got sick now, then she would probably be better off today then she would when she was a kid. Why? Because today, they have more knowledge about sicknesses and mostly everything else, and they can help to make you better now.
Back then if you had…
Headache? They would tell you to take and aspirin and like down.
Stomachache? They would tell you to have a cup of hot tea and lie down.
Sore throat? You would have to eat lemons and honey.
Pneumonia? They would put you in bed to see if you got better.
Cavity? You would go to a very small dentist office, and they would just pull it out or
numb it.
Now they would…
Headache? You would take an Advil or a Tylenol.
Stomachache? You would take medicine and lie down.
Sore throat? They would test you for strep throat and maybe give you a cough drop.
Pneumonia? They would treat you with medicine, and if it was really bad, you might go to the hospital.
Cavity? If it were a baby tooth, they would pull it out, and if it were a grown up tooth, they would drill it.
