· Toothache-Once my mom had a toothache in Laos (a country); my grandma would find a black cricket under a dead log and smash the poor little thing. After she would “smash” it, she grandma would take some cotton balls, dip them in water and spread it on my mom’s cheek (There was no dentists in Laos).
· Fever- One thunderstorm day, my mom was playing outside in the rain until night. When night came, she had a fever. Her temperature was above 10.0. So my grandma and her older sister rode their bikes to the hospital to get medicine (it was midnight). When they finally found a doctor, he gave my mom an injection everyday until she was fully healed.
· Headache-When my mom had a headache; my grandma (again) buys medicine at a local Pharmacy. The medicine was like powder. My mom would swallow it and drink water. She said it tasted nasty. She said it was like sweet and low sugar that you put in coffee.
