That Was Then...This is Now - KM
1.) How did your parents treat you when you were sick as a child?
In the morning they had to sit in bed for a couple of hours to rest, and around lunchtime they were able to go down stairs and eat lunch and get their medicine. Then they were aloud to go and watch a little bit of TV. However they couldn¡Çt sit there and watch it all day long because then it would seem as though you pretended to be sick to stay home and watch TV.
2.) What was it like when there was more than one child sick at a time?
It was hectic for my grandmother because there were six kids and two to three kids sick at a time. However it was fun because there was someone to play with or talk to. In a way it was good for my grandmother because she wouldn¡Çt really have to keep and eye on them.
3.) What were some of the medicines that your parents gave you to cure your sickness and did it taste good?
She remembered cough medicine and Luden¡Çs cough drops and they both tasted good, especially the cough drops because they taste like candy. My Mom and her brothers and sisters loved it when their Mom let them take the cough drops to school to eat like candies.
4.) Did you ever-fake sick just to stay home?
No. I would never fake sick it¡Çs just not done. Ha, Ha, Ha.
5.) What was the worst sickness you ever, had and why?
The worst sickness I had was strep throat because it was really bad sore throat and nobody likes a sore throat. The only thing she could eat was applesauce, then to cure the sickness she had to take a pill and she had a hard time eating it so she had to put the pill in the applesauce to eat it.Created by Kaitlin
