One afternoon, while returning to our hotel in Khon Kaen, Issan, Thailand, we
stopped at a roadside market. This vendor had a variety of delicacies.
If one looks carefully, you will see it is bugs. Yes, bugs, cockroaches etc.
are a delicacy in Thailand. Yes, I have tried it! One needs to be open
minded when in a different culture. There are very few birds in this region
of Thailand. People eat them! When one is hungry, you will eat a variety
of foods. This is global education!
