Online Page Creator Help

Below each section of Format 1 is explained. Red text indicates mandatory entries while purple text indicates optional entries.

 

• 1a) Enter the Title for your page. This will show as the link to your page in the Project Room.

• 1b) Font size for the Title link, would normally leave as is, i.e. medium.

• 1c) An option allowing you to use a picture file as a link to your page from the Project Room. If you use this option, please make sure the picture is a small thumbnail size (a height of 50 pixels works well). To use this option you will have had to upload the picture (via Online Post) to the Project Room you are working in.

 

• 2a) Choose the background colour for your page. A white background is the default setting. If you choose a dark background, you will need to choose a light text colour (see 5b below).

• 2b) An alternative to colour is using a picture file as a wallpaper. To use this option you will have had to upload the picture (via Online Post) to the Project Room you are working in.

 

You would normally leave these settings as they are. However if you wish to try something different, please feel free to do so.

• 3a) This option is the default setting for the "Return" link on your page, back to the Project Room. You can choose the size of the text link, i.e. small, medium or large.

• 3b) This allows for a picture to be used as the return link. You may have an arrow or some other graphic suitable for a return button that you'd like to use. Make sure you've uploaded the graphic via the Online Post Function first.

• 3c) This option sets the alignment of the Return text and/or button link. The default setting is centre alignment.

 

• 4a) You must enter a name or e-mail address or the Online Page Creator won't create your page. We are aware of safety issues and suggest you use a first name only or pseudonym if you don't wish to be identified by visitors to the site.

 

• 5a) Sets the font size for your web page text.

• 5b) Sets the font colour for your web page text.

• 5c) Write the heading for your page here.

• 5d) Select a picture you've previously uploaded via the Online Post.

• 5e) Select a Sound file, Real Slideshow file or Video file you've previously uploaded via Online Post.

• 5f) Write your body text here. To avoid wide pages, you will need to keep text lines short. Do this by pressing enter after you have typed between 4 - 8 words.

 

When you've finished click on the [Create] button. You will be shown a preview of your page and asked "Is this page okay?" If it is select [Yes]. If you select [No] you will return to the Format 1 page you have been working on to make your changes.

Be warned, the [Rewrite] button will clear everything you have entered previously. Only use this option if your entries have been entirely the wrong ones.
