The Progressive Story

Chapter1 - told by children of 2A, 
Hornbaek School, Denmark

One day in January 2001 Peter went for 
a walk in the woods around Hornbaek. 
Suddenly he was hit  by a spruce cone 
and immediately he felt into a deep 
sleep and started dreaming

He came to a 
big castle 
facing the 
water. Could 
that be 
Kronborg 
Castle, he 
wondered 
Prince Hamlet 
had lived 
here.

Peter was 
afraid. Could 
there be 
anybody there? 
He started 
walking down 
the corridor. 
It led down 
under the 
castle to some 
dungeons. 
Peter was 
shaking all 
over.

Suddenly he saw a big statue in one of 
the dungeons. Could that be Holger the 
Dane? Peter started walking towards it 
when it suddenly moved.
What do you want? the statue asked. I 
don't know, said Peter. I was walking 
in the wood when everything suddenly 
got dark.

I supposed it is the woodland troll. He 
is bored. He has bewitched the spruce 
cone that hit you. To wake you up from 
your dream you must go into the world 
and pick up something special from all 
the places you visit.
These things you must bring to the 
woodland troll and at the same time 
tell him all about your adventures 
but remember you must be back before 
2002. Or ...
