My Grandma
by Chelce

I had a great time interviewing my Grandma. I
asked her a lot of questions and these are her
answers.

Out on the farm where I lived I tried to catch a
skunk because I thought it was a kitten.
The funniest thing in our one room school house was
listening to all the kids trying to learn to speak
English. Some words were pronounced very funny.
Everyone had a good laugh during our English
class.
Here I am with my Grandma and my big sister.

My favorite subjects were English and Social
Studies.
I liked helping my father with the yard work,
gardening and feeding his animals. He had all
kinds of funny animals.
In the winter we would go skating on outdoor ice,
ride horses and sledding. In the summer we rode
bikes, played ball, hiked, went rafting and got
together at friend's homes.

My saddest experience was the
day my brother got expelled
from school.

The things happening around me
that I don't like are
unemployment, parents who are
too busy to spend time with
their children. I would like
to see year-round schooling.

We came to visit my Grandma
when her dog had puppies.

It makes me angry when
children, animals and seniors
are abused and nobody seems to
care.
I get joy from my daughter,
son-in-law and their 3
munchkins.

This is my great Grandma and
Grandpa. They live in
Saskatchewan. His birthday is
the same as mine, only 90
years difference between us. This is 1994.

My Grandma's advice is to get a good education,
enjoy life and she says the Lord did not intend
today to be perfect, that's why he made tomorrow.
