My Wonderful Grandparents
by Kyle
One of my grandmas lives in Saskatchewan. She is
my dad's mom. It takes me 8 hours to get there.
She is nice to me. When my grandma was in school,
she pretended to have a cold because she did not
like getting homework. She never got the strap.
Older kids set off smoke bombs in the coat room.
My grandma was sad when her mom and dad passed
away. The one thing she would do differently is
she would get more education if she could. The
things she sees happening around her that she
doesn't like are paying taxes.During the war
grandma remembers food being rationed.
These are my grandparents. They are nice. My dad
is holding me this time.

Grandpa Modin's favorite subject in school was
Geography. He did not like milking the cows when
he was little. He and his friends played softball
for fun. He gets angry when he gets hurt. Seeing
his grandchildren gives him joy. His advice to us
is 'eat hard and play fun'. Here he is holding me.

My stepmom's mom lives in
Edmonton. Her husband died.
The funniest thing my grandma
did, was put white soap on her
brother's face to make him
look like Santa Claus.
My mom's mom lives in
Newfoundland. She is grandma
Attwood. She came over for
Christmas at my mom's in
Edmonton.It was fun opening
presents.

Grandpa Attwood came to Edmonton at Christmas
and stayed at my Uncle's.
I saw grandpa on New Year's
Eve. Grandpa was very sick
all Christmas long. Then they
went back on the plane to
Newfoundland.

My Grandma Attwood with me taken when I was 2 years old.
