My Grandpa Jack

My grandpa Jack is my mom's step dad.  He is 40 
years old and works as a power engineer.  The 
funniest thing he did as a baby was when his mom
got out of the hospital from having surgery .
He would wait until she got close to him then 
he would run away laughing because she could 
not run and catch him. This is my Grandpa Jack
holding me when I was a baby.

My grandpa's favorite subject was computers. For 
fun he played  war with pellet guns that they put
wooden matches in and when they shot them they 
would light up.  

He also played sports.The 
saddest thing that he 
remembers is when his dog got
rabies and was put to sleep.
The next day he thought that
the turkey that his mom cooked 
was his dog.He was also sad 
when his dad died. When the 
Gulf War was happening, there 
was a bomb threat at my 
grandpa's work and he had to 
get everyone out of the 
building.  

If my grandpa could do something differently 
he'd have moved from the small town he lived 
in sooner because there was not many jobs 
and it was really violent there. Long lines
and crowded places make him angry and sports
give him joy.

My grandpa says to take life as it comes and 
not to worry about things too much.
