Mayor George Rogers Visits Corinthia Park School

By Grade 2C

Mayor George Rogers came to our classroom today.
He gave all of us a business card. We looked at it,
then we asked for his autograph. Before he came,
we prepared questions that we could asked him.
Mayor Rogers answered all our questions.
Then we had pictures taken with him. Here's
our class picture with him. He is a real cool mayor.

He says he enjoys being a mayor because he gets to meet
lots of interesting people, like us. He was born in
Jamaica and here is a picture of him showing us where
it is on the globe.

He gave us lots of good advice. Here are some of them.

1. Believe in yourself.
2. Follow your dreams.
3. Never say, "I can't."
4. Always treat others the way you want to
be treated.

Our class is so happy that Mayor Rogers came to
see us. He is awesome, cool and radical. Mayor
Rogers, thank you for visiting us, we had a
wonderful time with you.
