Languages vary around the world as well 
as within the borders of the same 
country.  We wanted to share with you 
some of the animals that live around 
Rosebud and give you their names in our 
traditional language, Lakota, and their 
names in the English language as well.

We drew these animals because they are 
the ones we get to see around us.  
Buffalo don't run wild here any more, 
but the rest are around.  We hope this 
in interesting, we want to share our 
traditional language.
