The Hmong hilltribe live in Northern
Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and
southern China. There are a variety of
other hill tribes living in these areas.
Obviously, their culture has been tainted
by tourism, and I must confess that I
felt a bit intrusive entering their
village while they hawked their
handicrafts.

Cute pictures of the children in the
village brought a smile to my face.

A picture of
some of the
vendors in the
village.

After our dinner
at the lodge,
some of the
villagers
performed for
us.

Here is the favorite sport of the Hmong
tribe. They are called "Tua-Lu", and it
is like a top and the individual whose
top spins longer is the winner. I
purchased one of these tops for my
students.
