Rong Bong Elementary School is a rural
school with 120 children from grades K-6.
There are only 8 teachers in this school.
Here the older students are performing
the fingernail dance, which is native to
Northern Thailand.

Some of the
kindergartners
of the school.

Here is the
cafeteria. Some
students don't
have enough
money for the
lunch, so the
teachers help
out and feed
them. By the
way, the
bathroom was an
outhouse behind
the cafeteria.
The school did
have a small
computer lab
with about five
online
computers.

I really enjoyed the reality of this
school and the love and happiness of the
children. The Fulbright Foundation made a
contribution to the school and Usanee,
our guide, is presenting it to the
school's principal.
