The Slovenian National Soccer Team had been
camping in Mimasaku-cho, Okayama preparing for 2002
FIFA World Cup from May 22 to May 27. We visited
the town on May 26.
The townspeople welcomed the team from the
bottom of their heart.
Lots of people came to see the players.
Here came the bus!
There was a corner with various stands ---
takoyaki, taiyaki, okonomiyaki, yakisoba, French
fries, Slovenian wine, soft drinks, and so on.

This is the soccer stadium. The Slovenian
players were practicing here. They were very
sincere and friendly to the townspeople. They left
for Korea on May 28. We hope they will win the
games in Korea!!
