Visit to Schaefersee Grundschule, Berlin, Germany

On July 17, I visited Schaefersee Grundschule in Berlin, Germany. During this past year, my classroom has had a cultural exchange with the 3rd grade students of Mrs. Angelika Dimmling. Many thanks for the technological assistance of assistant principal Martin Lueke of Schaefersee Grundschule.

Angelika, Martin and I pose for a picture in the teacher's workroom.

The night before my school visit I went out to dinner with Angelika and her husband, Freidrich, and Martin and his wife, Anna.

While in Mrs. Dimmling's classroom I played guitar, sang, juggled and even told the children the Punahou Legend. Mrs. Dimmling kept me busy and put me to work!
.

Later the children performed for me in the school's auditorium.

The children are singing a song about winter and then some of the boys did a "break dancing" demonstration.

Here is a picture of my special friend from Schaefersee Grundschule. Denis has taken the initiative and has written me email. One evening he and his mother visited me at my hotel. Study hard my young friend Denis!
