Hello to all Earth Calendar Online Contributors, My name is Lynne Ralph, and I'm the Project Leader for Children and Nature. Some of you have already dealt with me (or know me), but this is the first time I have sent a message to everyone. I'd like to welcome you all to Earth Calendar Online. It has been a great pleasure to see all the wonderful contributions and to have this opportunity to work alongside you all. We have been looking at new formats for the Monthly Index Pages. This morning a new format for May was uploaded. http://paoprj.lucksnet.or.jp/earth-c/html/9905may/html/ Please let me know if you find the page does not show correctly through your browser, or if you find the animated picture collection takes too long to download. From our observations, the rest of the page will download even if the animated picture hasn't completely downloaded. If it is acceptable to everyone, all monthly indexes will follow in this format. We hope you find this index appealing and enjoyable viewing - we'd love to know how children feel about it. A new development will be the introduction of a 'Children's Art Gallery' where all childrens pictures will be showcased on a special page each month. We have been so inspired with the wonderful artwork received from children we would like to highlight their art on Earth Calendar Online. I'd like to thank Judith Bennett for agreeing to be webmaster for the Children's Art Gallery - we all know she'll do a fantastic job. Please continue to upload your contributions as you have done in the past as Project Leaders will identify children's artwork and submit to the Art Gallery. To cover a technical matter concerning the Online Page Creator. We have found in the Online Post Function, the [browse] buttons don't show with some older versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you have had problems and use an IE browser, could you please let your Project Leader know and they will assist you. Best wishes Lynne (Project Leader - Children & Nature - Earth Calendar Online) |
