Aloha,

I wanted to to send a message to everyone to say hello. My name is Jonathan Yorck and I have been a kindergarten teacher at Punahou School for the past 19 years. I am also the coordinator of Holidays and Festivals of Earth Calendar Online (notice the change of name). I believe this message is going to six continents which I find quite amazing as we are creating our own global community. I was lucky enough to meet Lynne Ralph, Judith Bennett and Torigoe Yuko and Genshi (remember in Japan and China last name is first) in Australia in February. I am thrilled to be working with such dedicated and professional people. I am excited about this project and I hope you are too.

We have all been working hard to make this project interesting and hopefully easy for you to participate. Many thanks to Lynne Ralph for making explicit instructions on how to upload your contributions. Obviously, we all might have some difficulties, but we are here to assist you if needed. I continuously have to ask my fellow coordinators many questions as this has been a wonderful learning experience for me. As we say in Hawaii "no shame" to ask questions!! Regardless of your expertise, I would love to see your contributions. I show my students in my classroom new additions to the Earth Calendar Online when they appear. Feel free to participate in any category.
