Taiiku no Hi (1) - Japan

October 10 is "Taiiku no Hi". It is to 
commemorate the opening of the Tokyo �@
Olympics on October 10, 1964. It has been 
a national holiday since 1966. Its purpose
is to promote the mental and physical 
health of the people through the enjoyment
of sports.

Around Taiiku no Hi, lots of school and
regional athletic meets and sports tourneys
are held.
