Recycling Glass

Kimbriki Recycling Centre collects glass bottles and jars and sends them away to be melted down and recycled.

Brown glass, green glass and clear glass each go in different bins. They heat them to very high temperatures and the glass melts then it can be made into other shapes.

Glass is a good insulator - electricity does not easily go through it. Recycled glass can be used for insulation from electricity. But it has many other uses as well.
