The fire tree

In the dream time aborigines lived. The aborigines tried to make light.

Kondole knew about the fire stick. But one night Kondole hide the fire stick then went away. Tudrun then went to look for the fire stick  and saw a grass tree alight and knew it was the fire stick.

Kondole's tree was a magic fire tree. Light stopped creation for many days.

Fire helped make spears and cook food like fish, kangaroo and turtle.

When aborigines need fire, they take a flower stem of the grass tree and rub it vigorously.
