The Rainbow Snake

Within the dream time there was a snake, a bad snake. It lived in a lily lagoon called Minalinka. The snake was called Goorialla. The people in the village kept waking him up. He attacked the people.

A storm was coming and two boys couldn't find a shelter. Goorialla had taken up a whole shelter so the two boys went in the snake's mouth and the snake swallowed them.

Then Goorialla slithered away and fell asleep on the top of a cliff.

Goorialla people went after Goorialla, and one of Goorialla people climbed the cliff. Then they cut the snake open. The two boys flew out of the snake. They were now lorikeets.

Then Goorialla woke up because of the cool air through his body. He crushed the top of the mountain. All the rocks fell off the cliff. All Gooriallas people turned into birds.
