How the birds got their Colours

Originally the only colour for birds was black. All the birds looked the same.

One day a little dove bird swooped down to get a nice juicy grub. But instead he stepped on a sharp stick . He fell to the ground. Blood was spraying everywhere.

All the birds were gathering around the little bird except the crow, who was standing away from the little bird. The parrot came and pecked the little bird's foot.

Colours sprayed everywhere. Some birds had stripes. All except the crow who was black and got no colour. The little dove got better and had green spots all over him.
