A WELSH MANHOLE COVER

This is just 1 picture of 1 manhole. 
A manhole is a hole(big enough to go down).
On 1 side of the wall is a ladder for people 
to go down. The hole is covered with a metal cover.



We have these because if there is a problem with 
the pipes,wires or something else, special men 
like B.T and people who kill rats e.t.c go and 
check that everything under ground is OK. 



On the metal cover it tells you who made it and 
where. Like this one tells you that it was made in 
Manchester.
