Since the year 1999 is being observed as the International year of the Senior citizens, our Headmistress, Mrs Gouri Ishwaran decided to dedicate a function to the grandparents who exhibit keen interest in their grandchildren's activities at school.In keeping with the festive mood and the spirit yuletide, the students of Grade II of Delhi Public School, East of Kailash, presented a cultural programme depicting snippets conveying the message of Christmas, on January 12th,1999. | ![]() |
![]() | It was a momentous day for the grandparents. There was excitement and jubilation writ large on their faces as they adorned the welcome badges given to them on their arrival to the school. They watched with abated breath their darling grandchildren perform. |
The function commenced with a welcome address delivered by a student followed by a special welcome speech given by our Headmistress. The cultural programme started with a song and dance sequence in which little girls attired as angels and stars danced to the soul stirring hymn "Silent Night". | ![]() |
