Basic hardware required:

You will need a video capture card for your computer.

You will also need either a video camera, web cam or VCR and the correct connecting leads. Consult your local computer specialist for advice on what is suitable for your computer.

 

Software:

To convert a video file to Real Media, you can download free software from the Real Media Web Site. What you use will depend on whether you have a Mac or PC.

Using Real Producer and Real Encoder G2

These programmes allow you to record directly from a media device (PC camera, VCR etc) or from a video file already on your computer. The Programmes are well designed and user friendly.
